Spunbond Web with Higher Spot to Spot Uniformity for Filtration
One of the most critical aspects of nonwoven filter media is web uniformity, which ensures consistent properties across the entire surface. Web consistency is vital for several reasons, including performance reliability, product lifespan, efficiency, and quality. The goal is to achieve uniform flow through the media for effective filtration.
There are various methods to improve the uniformity of a spunbond nonwoven web, such as using different fiber cross-sections, fiber sizes, electrostatics, laydown air handling, throughput, multiple beams etc. This paper explores the significance of spunbond media uniformity in filtration applications and details how spot-to-spot consistency was achieved through a combination of various process variables
