BIOGRAPHY

A filtration industry expert with over 30 years of experience in the air filter industry, 24 successful sales years, Jason Downing has proven the ability to develop relationships with his customers, maintain long term customers, effectively manage accounts and partner with customers to meet their needs.

Jason Downing began working in the warehouse unloading trucks, pulling will call orders and making custom size air filters in 1994 when he was 16 years old. He worked part time after school and full time in the summers. He also began to work in the service department installing air filters until 2000, when he graduated from Arizona State University Cum Lade with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communications and business with a minor in Pre Law.

In November of 2000, Jason Downing started full time sales with DL Sales. He built new business segments such as the evaporative cooler market, implementing Fast Track, the online ordering program, and became an actively involved board member of the Mechanical Trade Association- AZ (MTCAZ - formally ACCA-AZ / Air Conditioning Contractors of America – Arizona Chapter). He also joined the local ASHRAE chapter to stay informed of HVAC related changes. Jason Downing has been able to effectively work with many different business segments including mechanical contractors, critical manufacturing, health care, data centers, wholesale/resale, property management, State agencies, school districts, federal facilities, etc.

In 2017 became the sales manager and co-president of Dave Downing and Associates.

He continues his education by attending NAFA meetings (National Air Filter Association), ASHRAE meetings (American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers) and participating in a round table group of peers with similar businesses in other parts of the country.

As the largest stocking air filter distributor in Arizona and the industry leading manufactures in filtration, he has the product mix and knowledge to offer products that can reduce energy, reduce labor, increase service life and reduce waste stream from all types of facilities. Energy reduction and waste reduction are easy to achieve and typically can maintain the same annual air filter budget.
